by centering voices long under-examined as the first image

discussed in the classroom, including but not limited to female artists,

artists of color, LGBTQ artists, and indigenous artists, we accept

responsibility to expand the histories we help to create


by hashtagging and broadcasting our chosen first image as #firstdayfirstimage

we create an exchange of ideas on what these new histories might look like
